St Johnstone Release Callachan

Ross Callachan leaves St Johnstone after two years in Perthshire.

St Johnstone have today confirmed that Ross Callachan will leave the club upon the expiry of his contract.

Having joined the Perthshire side in the summer of 2018 from Hearts, the club have announced today that he will not be offered a new deal for next season and will leave along with five other players. In his time at the club, Callachan made 26 appearences under Tommy Wright scoring on just one occasion.

The official club statement read: “Danny Swanson, Max Johnstone, Ross Callachan, David McMillan, Euan O’Reilly and Shaun Struthers will leave the club upon the expiry of their contracts. We’d like to thank all the players for their efforts during their time at St Johnstone and we wish them every success in their futures”.

Ross returned to his parent club after spending the second half of the 2019/2020 season on loan at Dundee. However, a broken fibula in early February against Partick Thistle unfortunately ended his season where he made only 3 appearances at Dens Park
