Player Biography

Born on the 21st April 1997, Tommy Muir spent several seasons at Scottish Lowland League outfit Dalbeattie Star. After back-to-back seasons as Star’s top goal scorer as well as Young Player of the Year in the 2017/2018 season, Tommy earned himself a move to Annan Athletic after impressing manager Peter Murphy on a trial.

Muir lived up to expectations in his first season at Galabank, scoring 15 goals in 44 seasons as Annan finished fourth in the league, just missing out on promotion after conceding an 86th minute penalty at Clyde to lose 2-1 on aggregate in the Scottish League One Playoff Final. Tommy’s goalscoring record kept improving as the following season he recorded 10 goals in 32 appearances before the season was suspended in March 2020.

After a short spell at Stenhousemuir, Tommy moved south in 2021 to join fellow Scottish League Two side Stranraer.
