The 6ft 4’ shot stopper came through Aberdeen’s youth academy and experienced a loan spell at Scottish Championship outfit Arbroath early on in his career. One year on in the summer of 2017, Robbie signed with Falkirk where he went on to make more than 70 appearances during his five year stay at the club, most notably claiming the Young Player of the Year Award in his first season. Loan spells at Dumbarton followed by Highland League side Deveronvale helped Robbie gain some valuable experience during his time at the club which helped him return to Falkirk as number one in January 2020.
The 24-year-old left Falkirk last summer and moved to the capital to join FC Edinburgh under former St Johnstone youth coach Alan Maybury. Mutch has played every game for the club this season, keeping nine clean sheets in the process as they fight for a playoff spot for promotion to the Scottish Championship for next season.
