Player Biography

Having come through the youth set up at Ipswich Town, the defender was signed by Livingston in 2009 under former boss Gary Bolan. During his spell in West Lothian he played a key role in the clubs promotion’s from the Scottish Third Division in 2010 and the Scottish Second Division in 2011.

A brief spell at Raith Rovers followed before it was announced Paul had joined Falkirk in 2015. After a two-year stint, Watson left the club for an opportunity in the Scottish Premiership with Dundee United. It was under difficult circumstances Paul joined Dundee United, where the club had suffered relegation to the second tier. Signing a two-year deal with the club, promotion was achieved in his second year as the club defeated St Mirren making their swift return to the Premiership.

Prior to agreeing his return to Falkirk, Watson previously played under the leadership of Peter Grant at Dunfermline where he spent a full season at the club before departing last year.
