Player Biography

Alan came through the ranks at Heart of Midlothian, making his professional debut in a 4-0 League Cup win over Alloa Athletic in September 2006 and his performances lead to him featuring for the Scotland under-19s team.

In 2008, Alan joined Clyde to get his first real taste of professional football, making over 80 appearances in 3 seasons and winning three player of the year awards. Following Clyde’s relegation to the Scottish Third Division, Alan signed for Dumbarton in the Second Division, winning promotion to the First Division and playing over 70 games accross two seasons. Since leaving Dumbarton, Alan had spells with Ayr United, Stenhousemuir and Airdrie before joining current team Livingston.

He has achieved incredible success with Livingston, winning back to back promotions with livingston in 2016-17 & 2017-18 and has been the club captain since 2019.

His career so far has seen him play in over 350 games across all four Scottish Divisions and work his way back to the Scottish Premiership.
