Congratulations to Ryan Williamson and Partick Thistle who sealed promotion back to the Scottish Championship after a 5-0 victory over Falkirk at Firhill this evening.
The club who was controversially relegated last season on points per game have returned to Scotland’s Second Tier at the first time of asking. Thistle opened a four-point lead over second placed Cove with one game left which secured them the league title.
Ryan Williamson who returned to the side tonight, assisted the opening goal of the game when Zak Rudden finished off an accurate cross from the full back on the half hour mark. Further goals from Scott Tiffoney, Joe Cardle and a double from Brian Graham completed a comfortable night for Ian McCall’s side as they travel to Montrose on Tuesday as champions in the final game of the season.
