Tommy Muir explains his delight on returning from a serious injury.

Stranraer striker Tommy Muir explains his delight on returning from a serious knee injury sustained at the start of the season.

Muir joined the club at the start of the campaign from Stenhousemuir however has endured a tough start to life at Stair Park. Tommy who is now pleased to have returned from his injury hopes to get back into the team under new manager Jamie Hamill and play as regularly as he can for the remainder of the season.

Tommy Muir – “I’m really pleased to be back playing after so long out. It was a hard few months but I’m delighted to be back involved with the team.

Personally, I just want to get as many games under my belt as possible and try to get as many assists and goals as possible. Goals are what strikers are judged on at the end of the day.

In terms of the team’s expectations, I think we are happy to go under the radar and just focus on trying to put together a few results and build some momentum as we’ve not done that yet. Hopefully by the end of the season we will be in with a chance of the playoffs.

It’s been really enjoyable since I’ve come back in, I enjoy the way the gaffer is making us play and I’m looking forward to hopefully building up a partnership with Broque Watson again as we’ve had a lot of joy from that previously.

Lastly, I need to give a lot of credit to the physio Jaime too as she put in lots of work to get me back fit.”
