Savoury Presented With Player of the Month Award for December

Congratulations to our client Grant Savoury who has picked up the cinch SPFL Championship Player of the Month award for December with some fine performances both in the league and the SPFL Trust Trophy.

The Spiders defeated Hamilton Academical and Arbroath in the league with Savoury scoring four times. They also ended Montrose’s hopes of the SPFL Trophy with Queen’s Head Coach Owen Coyle insisting that both his and Grant’s recognition is shared across the club.

After collecting his reward Savoury discussed his delight on being named Player of the Month, the hard work it’s taken to get to the level he is at and how enjoyable it is playing for such an attack minded team.

“A year ago I was making my way back into the game at Peterhead after a period out due to injury. To secure full-time football in the summer and then to be recognised with this award just a few months later is terrific.

“I enjoy playing in such an attack minded team, but I know that I have to contribute more than goals to keep progressing.
