Grant Savoury claimed Man of the Match and netted twice in Queens Park's 4-0 thumping of Hamilton Academical on Saturday afternoon.
Owen Coyle's side made it eight unbeaten in all competitions and have climbed to within just two points of league leaders Ayr United and just a point off second place Dundee in the fight for top flight promotion.
Savoury's double in the opening half either side of strikes from Simon Murray and Joshua McPake was enough to give the hosts a large advantage going into the break with the game all but done. The 22 year old who has played through an injury problem over the last few weeks which he has now overcome seemed to be back to his best and claimed the man of the match award along with his two goals.
Queens have now yet to lose in the Scottish Championship since their defeat to Ayr United back in early October as they chase down the league leaders. Next up for Coyle's side is the visit of Montrose in the Scottish Challenge Cup next Saturday before a return to league duty at Cappielow against Greenock Morton on Saturday 17th December.
