Robbie Leitch Joins Cove

Robbie Leitch completes move to Cove Rangers.

We are delighted to announce that Robbie Leitch has today completed his move to Scottish League One side Cove Rangers on a two-year deal.

Robbie came through the youth ranks at Motherwell where he won the 2015/2016 Scottish Youth Cup before making a move down south to English Premiership side Burnley. Once signed at Turf Moor, Leitch joined up with the Under 23 squad before a move to St Mirren materialised the following year.

Once returning from his loan spell at Queens Parks, Robbie spent time in Croatia joining NK Novigrad but made his return to Scotland in 2019 where he signed for Falkirk.

Robbie moves north to join up with Paul Hartley’s men ahead of the new season and was delighted on signing at Balmoral.

“I’m delighted to sign with Cove.

“When I played against them last season I was really impressed by their style of football, which is always attacking, with the emphasis of keeping the ball on the deck. You can see that has been drilled into the squad in training and I know it will suit me and help to get the best out of me.

“What I love most is getting the ball to my feet and driving at players and I’m really excited to have the opportunity to do that with Cove.

“The opportunity to play for the manager was also a major attraction. He’s one of the most respected coaches in the game and impressed me when he outlined the ambitions for the club.”

Everyone at Superior Sports wishes Robbie well in his time at Cove.
