We are delighted to announce the signing of Rio Ave midfielder Matheus Machado.
Matheus is a Brazilian professional footballer who was previously a youth graduate at Red Bull Brasil where he caught the eye of Inverness CT in 2018. Machado made the brave move abroad at only 17 years old and joined up with the Inverness academy team where he continued his development.
A quick rise from the academy side, Matheus was included in the Highland clubs first team in March 2019 for the first time. His debut came in the same season as a late substitute in a 3-1 defeat to Partick Thistle.
After departing Inverness CT in June last year, he moved to Portugal where he currently plays with Primera Liga side Rio Ave.
