Lithgow's Recovery From Injury On Hold

Alan Lithgow's recovery on hold as he awaits surgery on current injury.

After promotion to the top flight in 2018, Alan Lithgow and Livingston achieved more than what was expected in their first season back in the Scottish Premiership since 2005. Finishing 9th in the overall standings, the West Lothian club won 11 of their 38 games, scoring 42 goals in the process.

However, as Livingston approached their second season in the SPL, Lithgow was unfortunately struck with an injury problem having just been announced as the clubs new captain. The former Scotland U19 international noticed a slight hamstring problem during pre season training and made the decision to investigate the issue. Alan met with a specialist and was told immediately that surgery would be required on his injury.

With the current COVID-19 virus, all non-essential operations have been postponed and Alan’s surgery now looks more than likely to be pushed back to early summer.

Everyone at Superior Sports Management wishes Alan all the best with his recovery!
