Lee Ashcroft has today completed his move to Dundee after spending the last four seasons at Dunfermline Athletic.

We are delighted to announce that Lee Ashcroft has today signed with Scottish Championship side Dundee.

Lee joins the club from Dunfermline Athletic where he spent the last four seasons and now looks to help 'the dark blues' improve on their third place finish in the league last season. Joining Kilmarnock as a youth, Ashcroft made his senior debut against Dundee in a 3-2 victory in May 2011.

Having made 65 appearances in 5 years at the Scottish Premiership side, Lee moved to Dunfermline Athletic under former manager Allan Johnson in the summer of 2016. His first start for 'The Pars' came in a 3-0 Scottish League Cup victory against Arbroath followed by his first goal for the club in the same competition against Cowdenbeath. As a reward for his impressive performances and continuous leadership, he was rewarded with the club captaincy for the 2018/2019 season and in total made over 150 appearances in his time at the club.

After signing with the club Lee gave his thoughts on his move to Dens Park:

"It's something I've known about for a while now. Through this tough period the Gaffer was on the phone to me quite a bit and desperate to get me here. He sold the club to me very well so I'm delighted to get it done."

"I've played with Dunfermline for four years so I know the league very well. I know what the club are wanting to achieve here, it's to get back to the top league and that is what I'm here to try and help them do. The Gaffer has been great and I can't wait to get started now."

Everyone at Superior Sports sends their best wishes to Lee & Dundee ahead of the 2020/2021 season which kicks off on Saturday 17th October.
