Congratulations to clients Lee Ashcroft, Calum Ferrie, Harrison Sharp, and all at Dundee Football club on achieving promotion back to the Scottish Premiership last night.
Dundee, who won 2-1 on the night, had a narrow lead going into the second leg at Rugby Park. Ashcroft returned to his former club and his header sealed the fate for the home side as they dropped down into the second tier for the first time in 28 years.
A torturous start from Tommy Wright’s men left them 2-0 down inside 12 minutes and even though Kyle Lafferty pulled one back with 20 minutes left, James McPake’s men always looked the stronger outfit over both legs.
Dundee return to the top flight after two seasons in the Championship and can look forward to meeting there neighbours Dundee United in the top tier for the first time since the 2015/2016 season.
