We are today delighted to announce Kyle Benedictus’ move to Dunfermline Athletic on a two-year deal. Kyle signs at East End Park and becomes James McPake’s first summer recruit since being appointed the club’s new First Team Manager at the end of last month.

The Dundee born central defender makes the move from Scottish Championship side Raith Rovers after seven years in Kirkcaldy. The former Raith captain made over 150 appearances in his time at the club but is now relishing the opportunity of helping his new club compete at the top end of Scottish League One under the management of McPake.

Kyle, now at the age of 30, started his career at Lincraig Boys club before signing with Dundee in 2008 at the age of 16. He spent seven years at Dens Park making 84 appearances in total including over 30 appearances during loan spells at Montrose and Alloa.

After a successful loan spell at Alloa, Raith snapped up Benedictus in June 2015. Benedictus arrives at Dunfermline with plenty of experience having achieved promotion from Scottish League One in 2020 before reaching the Scottish Premiership Playoff-Semi Finals in 2021.

Everyone at Superior Sports Management wishes Kyle well at his new club.
