Johnstone Returns To Training

Max Johnstone returns to training at AFC Fylde.

AFC Fylde Goalkeeper Max Johnstone has returned to training with the National League North side after a lengthy spell on the side-lines due to suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury late last year.

Max who has endured a difficult start to his time in Lancashire has returned to Mill Farm where he will ease himself back into training in the hope of making his comeback this campaign.

Having joined Jim Bentley’s men at the start of the season, the 22-year-old is yet to make a competitive start for ‘the coasters’ however looks to be back on track to make his return before the end of the 2020/2021 season if the decision is made to finish the current campaign.

AFC Fylde currently sit second in the National League North, five points behind leaders Gloucester albeit with three games in hand. The club are yet to hear of a decision to see if the season will be declared null and void or will be played to a finish.
