We are delighted to announce that Dunfermline Athletic Football Club have today appointed James McPake as their new First Team Manager on a two-year deal until the summer of 2024.

The 37-year-old takes over the reins at East End Park from previous boss John Hughes as the club look forward to the 2022/2023 campaign and the challenge Scottish League One will bring.

The former Dundee boss, who has spent just three months out, guided his previous club to the Scottish Premiership through the Playoffs in the 2020/2021 season defeating Kilmarnock in the final.

In McPake’s time in charge at Dens he had a memorable win away to Hearts and a run to the Scottish Cup Quarter-Finals were achieved (Dundee’s first appearance at this stage of the competition since 2016).

McPake will be excited to return to management at such a historic club and aims to take the club out of Scottish League One.

James and the club chairman David Cook will look to start planning ahead of the new season and all at Superior Sports Management would like to wish James every success in his new role.
