Queens Park’s Calum Ferrie and Head of Commercial Kieran Koszary visited Battlefield Primary yesterday to supply club scarves and tee-shirts ahead of Saturday’s match.

Following this, Calum took part in a question-and-answer session with the pupils who asked questions such as what it’s like being a professional football player along with what his favourite team was.

The 23-year-old surprised the pupils by saying if he hadn’t had made it as a professional footballer, he may well have opted to have become a astrophysicist instead. He finished the session off by encouraging the pupils to follow their dreams but also to continue working hard in their studies.

Ferrie, who joined Queens in the summer made his Scottish League One debut last month in a 1-1 draw with East Fife and has started all four of the clubs matches since keeping two clean sheets in the process.
