Callachan Fires Equaliser Against Rangers

Ross Callachan secured a vital point this afternoon for Hamilton Academical as he scored in injury time to secure a point for the hosts. Brain Easton’s own goal ten minutes from time looked to be enough for the visitors but Callachan fired in from a close angle on the rebound after Rangers’ Alan McGregor had kept out Bruce Anderson’s header.

Marking his 25th appearance in an Accies shirt in style, Ross bagged his seventh goal of the campaign as he continues his impressive season since joining from St Johnstone last year.

Hamilton, having failed to win in their last five league games, picked up a crucial point which takes them three points behind Ross County in eleventh. Brian Rice’s side travel to Livingston next on Wednesday evening.
