Callum Booth extended his contract at McDairmid Park yesterday until the summer of 2024.

The full-back who turned 30 in May, has endured a successful time in Perth since joining the club from Bury in 2019, winning both the Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup last season under the management of Callum Davidson.

After agreeing his new deal with the club, Calum spoke of his delight in securing two more years at Saints.

“I am so happy. This is a special day for me and my family. I’ve really enjoyed my time at St Johnstone, and it feels like home. I’ve had the best times of my career at McDairmid Park. To know I’m going to be here until 2024 is very satisfying.

“I’d like to thank the manager for his belief in me. He and his staff are first class and they’ve been a pleasure to deal with and it’s great to get this done and dusted.

“There is so much to look forward to at this football club. It’s a great dressing-room and I’m proud to be a part of it.”
